A ladder system is used for the ranking of teams and week-to-week scheduling. The winning team from each court moves up to the next higher court on the ladder and the losing team from each court moves down to the next lower court on the ladder.
At the top court on the ladder, the top two winning teams stay while the loser moves down. Similarly, at the bottom court on the ladder, the bottom two losing teams stay while the winner moves up. The middle team on each court (2nd place) are asked to take the equipment bag containing the net, balls, and scoring materials as they will return to the same court the following week.
All team captains are required to report the results from their court by no later than the end of Thursday. Only which teams won, stay, and lost is important to report, not individual game scores. Rules for breaking ties are on the score sheets found in the binder in each equipment bag.
Permits for all schools allow us to enter each building no earlier than 6:45pm and we are required to leave no later than 9:45pm. Setup and tear down/cleanup should happen in the first and last 15min of each permitted time, and games should start at within 15 minutes of entry time and end no later than 15 minutes before exit time.
